Dr. Crans had the honor of serving as conference chair for the 45th iteration of the International Conference on Coordination Chemistry, hosted by Colorado State University from July 28 to Aug 3, 2024. This prestigious event has been held periodically since 1950, making it the oldest running international chemistry conference in the world, and was held in the United States for the first time in 40 years. Twelve years of planning and work went into hosting this event, and Dr. Crans’ commitment paid off; it was a booming success and featured guest speakers representing 37 different countries from 6 different continents:
